VALERIA BIANCHI
Born in Rome the 14th July 1980, she is an author, a theatre actress, a director and a puppet maker. After classical studies and a diploma in “Art Master”, she achieves a BA in “Literature” with a study-plan in Art and Theatre. She graduates in acting (“Teatro Azione” School of Rome). She studies dramaturgy and acting with important teachers (Pierre Byland, Bruce Myers, Claudia Contin, Cesar Brie, Claudia Castellucci, Leo Bassi,…) specializing in mask (commedia dell’arte, clown), storytelling and puppet theatre. She worked with the commedia dell’arte Balagàn Company until 2010. She studies puppet construction and manipulation with Gaspare Nasuto, Mimmo Cuticchio, Paola Serafini, Gyula Molnar, Luca Ronga, Romano Danielli. Her shows (“La Mandragola”, “Nonso & Nonsa, paper puppets”, “The Recognition of Sakuntala”, “A chi questo? Il rancio nel campo di Bergen”), have been represented all around the world (India, Austria, Turkey, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Argentina, Malta, Uruguay, China…). She teaches theatre, folk dances and arts to children and adults. In 2014 she co-funded UnterWasser and since then she has been working with the company.
